KEY FEATURES
Data Import

Alphacat supports a range of data import options. A standard Excel template is provided with the engine for simple data conversion and import. For more complex scenarios, extracted data can be easily mapped into a format ready for import. Alphacat supports multiple data feeds from different sources as well as manual data entry.

Validation and Review
  • Diagnostics: Alphacat performs thousands of separate validation checks on the data uploaded to ensure that it conforms to the requirements of the relevant submission schema and receiving tax jurisdiction. Any exceptions are presented in a diagnostics report which contains links to the individual items affected. The diagnostics report can be printed or exported as a pdf or Excel file.

  • Review notes: Review notes may be added to any input to provide further explanation, for example to support the reportable status of the account, change in circumstances and any other notes which may be useful when retrospectively reviewing the submission. Full audit trails of user, date and time stamps are maintained for all review notes.

  • Reportable status: Details of indicia identified, date of review, details of change in circumstances, self-certifications and reportable status (reportable or not reportable) may be recorded, allowing Alphacat to be used for account remediation purposes.

Reporting
  • XML submissions: Alphacat produces the required XML files for reporting under FATCA, CDOT (for 2014 and 2015 periods) and CRS (for 2016 periods onwards).

  • Supporting analysis: For each XML submission produced an additional supporting pdf is also generated which provides a human-readable view of the data being submitted, together with details of non-reportable accounts and summaries of the number of accounts by reportable jurisdiction and type.

  • Management reports: A number of standard reports can be produced across all financial institutions, including analysis of number of reportable accounts, submissions and reportable account details. Bespoke reports can be produced easily. Reports can be printed or exported as pdf or Excel files.

Client notifications

The letter writer function allows for standard template letters to be produced using the account holder details maintained for each financial institution.
