We’re delighted to announce that we have entered into an agreement with Microsoft that will see our AlphaVAT digital tax platform made available through Microsoft AppSource. AppSource is an online marketplace that contains thousands of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) business applications and services built by industry-leading software providers and is used by businesses across the UK and Ireland. We hope the new agreement will significantly expand the number of organisations that can benefit from using a digital tax compliance platform to comply with Making Tax Digital (MTD).
Introducing AlphaVAT
AlphaVAT is a powerful cloud-based compliance engine that transforms VAT reporting – giving total control over the preparation, calculation and management of the VAT return. Its calculation engine enables VAT treatments to be applied to individual and/or groups of transactions, and can support the simplest to the most complex VAT calculations, including Partial Exemption Special Method (PESM). Automated data management tools help to validate accuracy while detailed reporting and data analytics allow the Return to be checked prior to submission. A digital audit trail also enables tracking of calculations to source, supportin compliance and auditability against MTDfVAT phase 2 requirements.
AlphaVAT testing complete
We are pleased to announce that AlphaVAT has earned co-sell ready status through the Microsoft One Commercial Partner program. AlphaVAT earned co-sell ready status following a technology review which explored our underlying software architecture to ensure that our solution would be a valued addition.
Customer Benefits
Businesses utilising Microsoft AppSource will now be able to take advantage of AlphaVAT to meet the compliance demands of Making Tax Digital and enhance the efficiency and accuracy of their VAT processes longer term.
We believe hosting AlphaVAT on Azure offers businesses a number of additional advantages. All data is securely housed in UK-based datacentres and is secured through Azure Privileged Access Management, Azure Identity Management and Azure Data Loss Prevention solutions. In addition, organisations will be able to leverage AlphaVAT over a cloud ecosystem that includes a wide range of complementary technologies including Microsoft Power BI for business intelligence, Dynamics 365 for Enterprise or Customer Resource Planning, and Microsoft Teams for collaborative working.
Proud and Delighted
Allan McGhee, Director of Product Strategy, Tax Systems states: “We had to meet stringent conditions to become a member of the Microsoft Partner Network and AlphaVAT was really put through its paces, so it’s a great way of independently validating our product. We’re both proud and delighted that AlphaVAT will be available through Microsoft AppSource as this will make it much more accessible to organisations looking to take advantage of the benefits of Tax Technology.
We are incredibly excited by the collaboration and are already working hard to fully integrate AlphaVAT with the Microsoft Dynamics Platform.
We will benefit from continued access to Microsoft’s expertise as we expand our customer footprint, ensuring more businesses will have access to the very latest in tax compliance technology.”
James Chadwick, ISV Ecosystem Lead for Microsoft added, “Microsoft looks forward to working with Tax Systems and welcomes them to AppSource.
Our efforts will focus on the integration of AlphaVAT with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the Azure Platform to deliver an unparalleled customer experience during the VAT return process.”
